It was at an exhibit of encaustic paintings at the Royal Ontario Museum that I fell in love with this medium, and have worked with it ever since. Encaustic paint is made of pigment, beeswax, and resin. Traditionally, encaustic paint is heated and applied to a surface; it’s color and texture is intense. I studied at the Art Student’s League of New York, Syracuse University, and received a Dual BA in History and Studio Art from Binghamton University.
