Robert Glisson

I earned a BFA in Studio Art from Cortland State College. Later study in painting and figure drawing was done at Syracuse University. I have done commissioned portraits, landscape paintings and illustration work for the Syracuse Chiefs, Stamford Science & Nature Museum, Prometheus Book Publishers and many others.

The bulk of my work is done in oils, on location – en plein air – to capture the immediate impression of color and light. Unfinished works are completed from memory and/or sketches in the studio.

My work is in many private collections and I am represented by Alden Gallery in Provincetown, MA, and Novado Gallery in Jersey City, NJ.
